Our Experience
From exploring Japan to helping others experience it
Kin Tanuki is an Osaka-based travel agency created by two travellers who fell in love with Japan and decided to make it their home. We continue to explore Japan, with a personal goal of discovering all 47 prefectures and try every specialities they have to offer.
With years of experience guiding visitors around Osaka and helping travellers with local recommendations, we have learned that the best trips are not about seeing everything. They are about finding the right places, experiences and stories for you.
Our background combines local knowledge, guided experiences, travel planning and a passion for Japanese history and culture. Today, we use that experience to help like-minded travellers discover Japan in a more personal and meaningful way.

Our golden tanuki is the playful face of Kin Tanuki. Inspired by the tanuki of the Japanese folklore, the Japanese raccoon dog reflects the spirit we love about Japan: curiosity, adventure, good food, games and enjoying the journey.
The tanuki also feels right at home in Osaka, a city known for its lively atmosphere, food culture and down-to-earth character. Just like our approach to travel, our mascot encourages you to look beyond the obvious, explore a little further and enjoy the unexpected.
